The Catfish Creek Conservation Authority is warning of the potential for flooding in low-lying areas.

Water levels are rising because of rain and warm weather causing snow to melt, the authority said in flood watch issued Monday.

“The adverse weather conditions indicate that potentially hazardous circumstances exist,” the authority said.

Members of the public are advised to be cautious near water and to keep children away from creeks and streams because banks aren’t safe.
